APUNJ Medical Mission to our Hometown, Arondizuogu

APUNJ will execute our inaugural Annual Medical Mission to Arondizuogu and we want to thank all of our supporters for their generous donations towards this very important and highly needed project in our hometown. This fall, APUNJ will lead a group of medical professionals and volunteers on a two-day mission to our hometown, Arondizuogu to give much needed free medical services to individuals with various medicals needs in Arondizuogu and the neighboring villages.

The services will range from consultation with doctors and nurses, screening for various ailments, including high blood pressure, arthritic conditions, heart and blood pressure diseases, pediatric illnesses, etc. Prescription and non-prescription medication will be provided at no cost to the patients and referrals will be given for follow-up care for persistent or recurring ailments.

As part of this effort, APUNJ has formed a Medical Mission Committee to oversee our preparation, logistics, delivery and post-execution assessment of this project. The committee is composed of our members with specialization in various medical fields: obstetric and gynecology, pharmaceutical, nursing care, hematology/oncology, pediatric care, radiation services, public health delivery, etc.

Funding and other financial support for this Mission is being provided by APUNJ members, donors and other socially minded agencies who share our desire to impact positively the healthcare condition of some of the neediest persons in Arondizuogu and the surrounding villages in Nigeria.
